Listen, Zoe -- my wife and I are having a little dinner thing next week, and we'd love for you to come. It would be a swell opportunity for you to meet my wife's cousin! He's a great guy, and I think you two would really hit it off! He's super nice, funny.... GREAT sense of humor since his divorce. A really up-beat person, since he started going in for electroshock therapy. He's not technically working right now, but he's thinking about getting his next online degree in Mime Studies. He's super goal-oriented, too: He has seen every Sylvester Stallone movie ever made FIVE TIMES!! Including that country and western one with Dolly Parton!! He does have (full disclosure, haha) a lazy eye, but you barely even notice once you get used to it.

Couples can be real bitches. I've always wanted to use the line from "Bridget Jones' Diary" where she says she's still single because under her skin her entire body is covered in scales. :-) Except now I'm married. And yeah, I'm with Amanda re: the kids. All I ever get asked is when I plan to spawn.

Im married and I hate couples parties, for much of the same reasons you mentioned. I really don't fit in with the women-folk too much. I hate soccer, by kids dont play sports, I drive a Saturn and horror of all horrors I dont tan and have my nails done on the regular. These OTHB ( over the hill Barbies) make me want to scream like a raped ape. Not a raped/raped ape Whoopi.. just an ape. -=]
