I can relate, only with me it's either Sims or Avatar on Playstation. If it's the Sims, it's gibberish conversation that sounds oh-so-expressive. Tones of surprise, tones of indifference, tones of scandalous gossip, all spoken in a gibberish that makes you wonder if there's actually demon worship messages in there somewhere.

With Avatar it's the sounds of machinery getting whacked with big sticks, gunfire, pulsing light beams, and the occasional dying grunt or groan. And a few swear words for good measure.

I'm sure we got more done before those playstations came into the house. I wouldn't mind if all of it went missing one night!

Most of the time when I have the tv on, its for background noise, but I do get a lot more done when its off and Im not distracted my things I hear on it.
